Bred & Salt: Design for consciousness, respect and value

Bred Salt ZHDK

Design as a discipline and perspective holds great responsibility for a respectful and conscious relationship with food, its production and materials.
The Design Department of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) will showcase the diploma projects "Speaking Bread" by Carolina Márquez Bernard and "Mapping Salt" by Sophie Bäumlin in the Festival Hub and present them more in details at a talk with the two designers. The two design research projects explore, decode, connect and transmit knowledge, experiences and potentials of two basic culinary components: bread and salt.
